Fitness chain continues to expandAmsterdam, 5 July 2021. Urban Gym Group (UGG) expands with the acquisition of BTY CLB (formerly Booty Club). BTY CLB provides high intensity workouts focused on glutes and booty in Amsterdam and Rotterdam nightclubs and unique locations such as Chin Chin Club, W Amsterdam, A'dam Toren and Toffler. June Sier, founder of the BTY CLB, will continue to expand her concept together with the Urban Gym Group. June: “My mission with BTY CLB is to provide a platform for all women who can be proud of their body and booty. My team and I want to empower them, both physically and mentally, offline and online. This step enables me to further realize my dream. Moreover, I have gained a family and we will share everything together: the successes, but also the challenges that come with growing your business.”UGG’s CEO Marjolijn Meijer and co-CEO Jordy Kool closely monitor international and national trends in order to provide customers with the most innovative fitness concepts. Marjolijn: “BTY CLB is a fantastic extension of the Urban Gym Group. June is a passionate entrepreneur and a real power woman. I am thrilled to have her join our team. We have big plans to grow this concept, both offline and online, nationally and internationally. Marjolijn continues: “With the Urban Gym Group we continue to look at new concepts. We are in talks with a number of other new initiatives, and several existing clubs that fit our company’s mission. We aim to remain the frontrunner in the urban cities.”Training glutes is very popular. The fitness industry is responding en masse to this trend with booty classes, fitness equipment especially for the glutes and sports gear that shape the glutes. Marjolijn: “With Trainmore we have already invested in equipment and booty circuits. The unique locations of BTY CLB and the ultra-modern online platform perfectly match the desire of the millennial to enjoy sports as an experience.” June: “In 2017 I switched from a legal career on the Zuidas to becoming an entrepreneur and a trainer. The idea of a nightclub as a venue occurred to me while driving. A club has everything you need: beautiful lights, amazing music installations and moreover it is 'Instagrammable'. The latter is extremely important with a target audience that mainly consists of millennials. We do all exercises on the beat with the coolest music. Our trainers are therefore performers. In October 2018 I did the first lessons in a club. When I noticed its success, with more than 100 people on the waiting list every hour, I decided to grow this concept.”About the Urban Gym GroupThe Urban Gym Group (UGG) has several labels in the major cities that are aimed at offering its members a unique and different fitness experience than people are used to.
