TrainMore opens a new gym in De Pijp, Amsterdam. In the former Hutspot store on the Van Wou Street in Amsterdam, this new location will open in September 2022. This is the 13th TrainMore location in Amsterdam and the 35th club of the Urban Gym Group, to which TrainMore belongs. TrainMore is known for the concept that taking good care of yourself should be rewarded. Members receive a financial reward per visit. Marjolijn Meijer, CEO: “The desire for a different location in this neighbourhood has been around for a long time. This building on the Van Woustraat exceeds expectations. The renovation is in full swing, and this gym will be next level again.”Earlier this month, the Urban Gym Group raised an investment of 16 million euros. The fitness chain reports mainly investing in new locations, takeovers of gyms and upgrades of existing locations. Meijer explains: “The financial trigger, in combination with fun and a community where you feel at home, ensures that our members come back more often. You achieve the desired results with more training, which matters to us.” The fitness chain grew by more than 50%, with new members in the first quarter. Meijer: “This growth figure and the length of time that members remain members are well above the market average and confirm to me that we are on the right course.”Other investmentsTrainMore Singel is being expanded by 600 m2, but also in TrainMore West, The Hague and Haarlem, among others, renovations are underway to meet the members' wishes.
